Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chargers

San Diego had just kicked a 44-yard field goal to tie the game at 23 late in the fourth quarter, and Peyton Manning had 43 seconds and one timeout to work with in order to drive his Broncos down field for a chance to win the game.

With that situation facing a team, you’d expect a knee to be taken and for the game to go into overtime. Not so fast my friend!

Manning went 6-of-6 for 58 yards to give Matt Prater a chance at a game-winning field goal. With three seconds left, Prater lined up and nailed a 54-yard kick right down the middle to give the Broncos a 26-23 win over the Chargers to move them to 8-1 with unbeaten Kansas City up next.

Philip Rivers threw for 388 yards and two touchdowns for the Chargers, but it, obviously, wasn’t enough to get them the big victory.
