"“Resident Evil 5” is now Capcom’s best-selling game of all time, shifting a total of 6.5 million copies as of September 30, 2013.The 2009 sequel has now overtaken iconic brawler “Street Fighter II’s” sales record, with the 1992 game selling 6.3 million units. The figure does not include subsequent “Street Fighter II” editions, however: 1993’s “Street Fighter II Turbo” claims 4.3 million sales in the publisher’s chart, for instance.Elsewhere in its report, Capcom said it was buoyed by the release of “Monster Hunter 4” in Japan, which has now sold over 2.8 million copies and was described as an “immediate success” by Capcom."
