Conan O’Brien, aka ‘Clueless Gamer’ Plays Scary Video Games
Horror games are usually too spooky for the likes of me, but whenever joy and humor can be made out of anything game related, Conan O’Brien is your man. He has consistently provided laugh when providing video game reviews as part of his “Clueless Gamer” segment on his late-night talk show, “Conan,” the man is back when a
new episode geared towards scary PC video games
played completely in the dark.
Joined as always by Team CoCo blogger/podcaster Aaron Bleyaert, Conan spends this episode of Clueless Gamer focused on playing Slender, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Outlast, with the majority of the games voted on by the fans. Conan did not disappoint, as he picked apart the fact that Slenderman, on the outside, does not appear to be as scary a game as once thought. That is true especially if you consider him to be created by a European who thought up a fantastical forest-dwelling creature who takes away children’s chestnuts in some Dutch woodland area.
In contrast, he did find both Amnesia and Outlast scary, especially with gratuitous monsters chasing him and Aaron with rusty, unsanitary weapons held in urinals. Even more disturbing; the fact that the doctor in Outlast doesn’t wear any pants.
Make sure you watch the above video, as Conan O’Brien’s Clueless Gamer is a star segment for the show, in my opinion.
