Minnesota Vikings @ New York Giants

The Monday night game features two teams with a combined record of 1-10. Not quite the marquee matchup the NFL likes to have for their major prime time games.

However, despite the records of the teams involved, the game turned out to be a good one that came down to the final minute and a major defensive stand by the Vikings.

Up by two with 1:21 left, the Vikings let the Giants drive 77 yards to get into easy field goal range. With the clock set to expire after the kick attempt, the Giants lined up for a 28-yard field goal attempt. By some miracle, the Vikings managed to block the kick as the clock expired to seal the win for them, just their second of the season.

The loss continued the Murphy’s Law trend for New York as it fell to 0-7 on the year. It’s safe to say there won’t be a miracle turnaround with this team.
