Dodgers vs Cardinals: Game 2

The offense lit up for both teams today. Yasiel Puig led the way, going 4-5 with 3 RBI, a double and a 3-run home run. Juan Uribe continues his postseason magic by finishing 3-5 with an RBI and a run off two doubles. Clayton Kershaw comes out ahead, although barely, going 5 innings and giving up 9 hits, 4 ER and 5 K’s.

Carlos Beltran‘s streak of being a superhuman in the playoffs stays true in Game 2, finishing 3-4 with 2 solo home runs. Other than Freese (2-4), the remaining hits were spread around evenly at one apiece, handed out to Jon Jay, Matt Holiday and Matt Carpenter, among others. Michael Wacha must have been gassed from his 1-hit performance in the NLDS, as he finished only 5 innings and gave up 8 hits over 4 runs (3 earned), 2 walks and 6 K’s.
