New Pokemon Game Coming

With Pokemon X & Y releasing to the public in North America on Saturday October 12, Pokemon fever is running wild. Building off the fact that Pokemon is the talk of the gaming community right now comes rumors that a new Pokemon game involving everyone’s favorite yellow electric mouse is set to be announced.

According to Japanese TV company NHK, first reported by Gematsu, The Pokemon Company is developing a new game that features Pikachu in a “bold new way”. The “never before seen” game has supposedly been in development since summer.

The website, thanks to the power of translation tools, states:

“This summer, Ishihara started development on a never before seen game. It’s a new game featuring the very popular character Pikachu in a bold way. There is concern, however, that if it’s bad the long loved character would lose popularity in the blink of an eye.”

There have been rumors of a Pokemon fighting game being in the works ever since a video put together by The Pokemon Company back in August showed what appeared to be footage from just that.
