Tigers vs Athletics: Game 3

With the Tigers at home, the team look to clinch the series in front of their own fans. Miguel Cabrera finally produced some offense of note, going 2-3 with a walk, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored and a home run. The same could not be said for Jose Iglesias and Austin Jackson, who combined are batting ~.150 for the series with too many strikeouts to count between them. Lucky enough for Anibal Sanchez his team scored enough runs to give him the win, as his 5 IP, 4 ER, 6 hit, 3 BB and 6 K performance was nothing too exceptional.

Oakland is really backed into a corner now, with most of the offense still having to rely on Donaldson, Crisp and Moss. Yoenis Cespedes has been virtually absent from the lineup, Seth Smith has yet to register a hit and the pitching has been nothing to write home about. Jarrod Parker kept that tradition going, giving up 5 runs (2 earned) over 5 innings of 6 hits ball, complete with 4 K’s. They will have to turn it around to force a Game 5 situation.
