MLB 13: The Show ALDS Rays vs Red Sox Series Simulation
Rays vs Red Sox: Game 5
As a Blue Jays fan, there are truly no winners here. But, in a statistically true sense, I guess the Rays ended up winning this match. The heart of the lineup went 0-4, but Yunel Escobar, Jose Molina and Luke Scott all had 2 hits and an RBI. Jennings also had 2 doubles, a single and stolen base. Matt Moore also redeemed himself by pitching a complete game, 4 hit, 8 K shutout.
The Red Sox lost a pivotal elimination game at home, which doesn’t seem right when you look at it on paper. Pedroia’s 2 hits, Gomes’ 1 and Will Middlebrooks‘ 1 were all that the Fenway faithful were privy to. Jon Lester failed to come close to his game 1 performance, lasting 5 innings, giving up 7 hits, 3 ER, a walk and 5 K’s. I’d like to think it was because of bad managing by John Farrell, but it doesn’t seem to be the case. Damn.
Be sure to come back to GameSided later today, as we will be showing our final Divisional Series simulation between the Tigers vs Athletics.
