This ALDS saw our first ever simulated extra innings game of the simulated postseason. Desmond Jennings got the offense going, scoring a run off of 3 hits in 5 AB. James Loney shared the same offensive sentiment by providing his three hits, while the most of the RBI belonged to Ben Zobrist courtesy of the long ball. Matt Moore did not fare all that well, finishing up with 3 ER, 7 hits, 2 walks and 5 K’s.

The Flyin’ Hawaiian Shane Victorino kept it real on the basepaths, securing a stolen base on his lone hit of the night (in 5 AB’s). All-around player for Game 1 goes to Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who finished 4-4, scoring 2 runs, plating 1 RBI over 3 doubles. Jon Lester was great, finishing the game with 7 innings, 9 hits, 0 walks and 2 strikesouts.
