Dodgers vs Braves: Game 3

With the NLDS heading back to Los Angeles, the series saw its first pitching duel thanks to Dodger Stadium’s park factor. Puigmania finally overwhelmed this game, as Yasiel Puig hit a 2-run HR in the bottom of the 8th inning to break up what looked to be a long game ahead. Andre Ethier made his first appearance in the series with a pinch hit double on what can only be assumed are Kurt Gibson-esque legs. Hyun-Jin Ryu was an out away from a complete game, going 8.2 innings giving up 1 unearned run over 4 hits, 2 walks and 4 K’s.

Julio Teheran was the hard luck starter in his first postseason appearance, going 7 strong innings and giving up only 1 ER over 4 hits, 2 walks and 6 K’s. The loss, however, was handed to Luis Avilan after giving up that Puig homer. The offense never really clicked, as players like Freddie Freeman, Andrelton Simmons and Evan Gattis could not get a hit for the life of them.
