Dodgers vs Braves: Game 2
Finally we have a game between this East Coast vs. West Coast battle with some significant offense! Hanley Ramirez was on fire, going 2-4 with a pair of 2-run home runs and finishing with 4 RBI. Adrian Gonzalez was no slouch either, finishing 3-4 with a walk, 3 runs and 3 RBI. Zack Greinke answered Minor’s excellent start with a modest one of his own, going 8 innings and giving up 1 ER over 9 hits, a walk and 7 K’s. He even walked and stole a base, which he has proven capable of doing this year.
Jason Heyward struck out 3 times, but also went 2-5 with a solo HR and 2 runs scored. Chris Johnson also had 2 hits, but he also gave up a crucial error that lead to big scoring opportunities for the Dodgers. It really brought Mike Minor‘s day to a close early, as he only threw 3 innings and gave up 6 runs (2 ER) on 5 hits, a walk and a lone strikeout. From there it was a long string of relievers, including 1 inning pitched by Luis Ayala that yielded 5 ER.
