Defender of Texel: RPG on iPhone and Android

I am personally a big fan of role playing games. I’ve loved them since I was very young. I love creating a team of characters and progressing through a story. I have recently been searching for some new games to play on my iPhone, specifically RPG games. I just recently stumbled across a game that has had me addicted since day one and that is Defender of Texel.

In Defender of Texel, you build a squad, or what they call a Collection, of monsters and fighters to play with. You can play just strictly through the story mode of the game, which is a lot of fun, but the biggest draw to this game is the events that they do. Each month they have a new themed event. For example, the month of October is Halloween themed, December is Christmas themed, and etc. The events are where you will acquire some of your best monsters for your collection and also get some great gear to equip to your squad. Events also team you up with other players for PvP and makes the game very interactive with other people and even more enjoyable.

Let’s be honest, many games on the iPhone are very hard to be a top player in if you are not spending your hard earned, real life money on in-app purchases to boost your chances of winning. While Defender of Texel does have an in-app store where you can purchase various upgrades and extremely powerful monsters for your collection, Mobage has done a great job at ensuring that this is not the only way that you can excel in the game. It does take a bit more time, but I actually enjoy the journey through progressing my collection.
