The Boss – Cate Blanchett

The Boss’ role in the Snake Eater story is that of a mentor, a matriarch and a brilliant mind. Her commanding nature tells those around her she is in charge; she is The Boss. Cate Blanchett has a storied career of acting in films, famously depicting Queen Elizabeth I twice, Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings series and Katherine Hepburn in “The Aviator,” which won her an Academy Award.

Blanchett is more than capable of playing such a nuanced character. There are few in the industry that can quite pull off a monumental performance required to make such a movie work. Just as lighting and makeup can make Snake look younger, making Cate Blanchett appear just a tad older than Hugh Jackman to give her more of that motherly look would be the icing on the top of what would be a dynamic leading pair.

Runner up: Sharon Stone. The age difference between The Boss and Naked Snake would be more accurate, but I will take a better acting performance 9 times out of 10.
