There is nobody better suited to play the main protagonist of a Snake Eater movie right now than Hugh Jackman. He has proven himself worthy when he portrayed Wolverine throughout the “X-Men” series. He looks like Big Boss. His established ability to sound gruff gives him grounds to sound like Big Boss. People have made convincing photoshops swapping Big Boss’ face with Hugh Jackman’s. In my books, he narrowly beats out Christian Bale and a hair-dyed Josh Holloway to become the quintessential movie version of Metal Gear Solid 3’s Big Boss.

Fan Service Choice: David Hayter, voice actor of Big Boss in the video game version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Remarkable Circumstances Choice: Kurt Russell (using “Tron Legacy” CGI magic). The original Snake character was modeled after him, as well as his “Escape From LA” character Snake Plissken being the inspiration for Solid Snake’s alter-codename Iroquois Plissken. The problem is Russell is 62, and would require the performance and maneuverability of a younger man.
