Maxis Addresses SimCity Mac Installation Issues
By Nick Tylwalk
PC gamers had a pretty… let’s call it “memorable” experience when “SimCity” launched back in March. Now Mac players are getting a chance to enjoy their own version of the modernized city-building classic, and early reports of some issues no doubt sent an uncomfortable feeling of deja vu through the gaming community.
As reported in ComputerAndVideoGames, two problems popped up when the Mac edition went live last week. One prevented some players from installing the game because Origin claimed it was already installed, while the other impacted anyone attempting to start the game in a language besides English.
But any worries of a PC-style quagmire can be put aside, because Maxis worked quickly to fix these bugs. A company spokesperson issued the following statement today:
"We are pleased to advise that the installation-related issues some players experienced with SimCity on Mac have been resolved."
Time for a sigh of relief, no doubt.
