Summer Over? Not In Neverwinter’s Summer Festival
By Nick Tylwalk
The fact that kids are either back in school or getting ready to go back over the coming week means one thing, and it’s kind of a bummer: for practical purposes, the summer of 2013 is over. Ah, but by the technical definition, summer lasts until late next month, and it’s in this spirit that “Neverwinter” has its Summer Festival running right now and continuing for the next few weeks.
Talking to the aptly named Midsummer Priestess in the starting zone of Protector’s Enclave is all you need to do to get in on the festivities, which include repeatable quests that involve killing trolls, collecting flowers, and herding animals. In other words, the usual fun summer stuff we all know and love.
Rewards like Sunite weapons, Bottomless Waterskins, companions, mounts and fashion items are there for the earning, and playing daily can get you a Tribute to Sune redeemable for a special event reward. On top of that, the Summer Provisioning provision will be available during the Summer Festival and allow you to craft even more fashion and feast items.
See, summer doesn’t have to end just yet. But the Summer Festival will wrap up on Wednesday, September 18 at 10 am Pacific time. And when that happens, I’m afraid we’re going to have to agree that summer is over. Even “Neverwinter” can’t do anything about that.
