Top 20 Mobile Games Of All Time

4. Plants vs. Zombies
PopCap certainly didn’t invent tower defense, which is a mobile staple. What it did do is give it a hook that had style and mass appeal while tapping into the zombie craze in the larger pop culture sphere. Did I mention that the game is really fun too?
Gamers of all ages can pick up and play “PvZ” right away, but the strategic challenges are deep enough that it has an abundance of replay value. The art style is a winner, making the plants heroically cute and the zombies more funny than grotesque.
The original game had plenty of legs, and the sequel is also excellent. “PvZ” even has flexed some merchandising muscle, which is a definite sign of a smash hit. The war between flora and the undead shows no signs of ending, and that’s a good thing.
