12. Tiny Tower

You couldn’t go wrong with several Nimblebit games on a “Best Of” list—my personal favorite is “Pocket Planes”—but I’m giving the nod to the game that put the studio on the map. It’s a sim game in the classic sense, testing your wits and business acumen as you manage a skyscraper and try to best utilize all of its inhabitants, but it still feels fresh and tailor-made for mobile screens.

And oh, those Nimblebit characters. So cute! That’s probably not cool for a 30-something guy to say, but I said it. Eight-bit graphics (and sound) FTW, all day.
