WildStar Playable At Gamescom and PAX Prime

If you’re like me, you can’t wait to get your hands on Carbine and NCSoft’s sci-fi MMORPG “WildStar.” Hopefully that’s where the similarities end, because I haven’t made it into beta, and perhaps you’re one of the lucky ones who has.

Not that fortunate? Don’t fret, because the developers are bringing “WildStar” to the masses, defined here as the folks in attendance at two big upcoming industry events, Gamescom and PAX Prime.

Gamescom is right around the corner, taking place August 21 to 25 in Cologne, Germany. Attendees will be able to swing by the NCSoft booth all five days and get some hands-on time with the Chua and Mordesh, two new “WildStar” races that haven’t been playable anywhere to date. And on Friday night, Carbine will host a post-show party and fan event in the Tunnes Ballroom at the Marriott Koln hotel.

Even more “WildStar” goodness awaits at PAX in Seattle between August 30 and September 2. Both the NCSoft and Logitech booths will have the game running, and the Carbine developers will appear at the Kraken Theater for a night of insider info, exclusive gameplay footage and potentially some cool swag.

If that’s not enough, “WildStar,” Curse, and Alienware are joining forces at the Hard Rock Cafe from 7 to 11 pm on Saturday night so that show-goers can have a drink on them, ask the devs questions and get even more time with “WildStar.”

Alas, I won’t be in attendance at either event, so I’ll just have to wait for one of you to tell me how the awesome the game is looking — unless you want to lie to me and tell me it sucks so I don’t feel bad. Either way, you can get all of the “WildStar” details here for Gamescom and here for PAX. And have fun you lucky ducks.
