Chief Thunder From Killer Instinct Teased At Evo
As expected, Killer Instinct put on a demonstration of their Xbox One game right before the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 finals at this year’s Evo event. They showed off Killer Instinct favorite Glacius in a one minute video, with the emphasis on lengthy combos and pulling off combo breakers on already-existing combo breakers. The guys at Double Helix saved the best for last.
In the final seconds of this trailer, a tomahawk was thrown at a tree. This axe belongs to none other than Killer Instinct classic character Chief Thunder, confirmed to being added to the Xbox One version of the game.
This newest addition brings the total number of revealed Killer Instinct characters to seven, according to the Killer Instinct wiki. Chief Thunder joins the already-revealed roster of Jago, Cinder, Fulgore, Glacius, Saberwolf and Spinal, with plenty more ahead. The developers have also noted that they want to add more female characters to the game to complement the large amount of male characters already established in the fighting game’s universe.
Killer Instinct will be released as an Xbox One title as a standalone or as a freemium digital download, meaning the game can be installed with one free character and you pay for the rest. Check out the teaser trailer below.
