Injustice: Martian Manhunter, John Stewart Skin Revealed At Evo

The first ever Evo appearance of “Injustice” Gods Among Us” at Evo was a treat in and of itself. But you didn’t need to be a fan of professional gaming on Sunday night to get something out of the tournament finals, as Warner Bros. Interactive and NetherRealm used the event to reveal a new DLC character and a new skin for an existing favorite.

Already teased during Scorpion’s debut a few weeks back, Martian Manhunter is making the move from background cameo to playable character. As you can see in the gameplay trailer below, NetherRealm is making good use of his ridiculously large arsenal of powers, though there’s no word on whether or not he’ll take extra damage from Superman’s heat vision:

The other reveal was a John Stewart skin for Green Lantern, giving the former alternate turned Green Lantern Corps stalwart a chance to shine. Stewart is probably best known as the Green Lantern from the most recent set of “Justice League” cartoons, and while it would have been nice to see different ring constructs for him based on his background as an architect and Marine, he’s still a welcome addition to the game — and he even has his own voice actor.

There’s no reason to think these are the last additions to “Injustice,” so who would you still like to see? Leave us a comment below or give us a shout on Twitter at @gamesideddotcom.
