Xbox One Best Buy Pre-Orders Sold Out

Staying on pace with the PlayStation 4 selling out of pre-orders at GameStop, IGN reports that Best Buy has seemingly sold out of Xbox One consoles on their online stores.

The Xbox One is still available over at the other major  retailers like GameStop, Wal-Mart, Amazon and Target. It’s unclear shoring up pre-orders of the console is retaliatory action based on Sony’s move or how much of a stock Best Buy had in the Xbox One. I can tell you that here in Canada the console is still available for pre-order, while the PlayStation 4 is unavailable for pre-order at EB Games, following the lead of GameStop in the US.

Speaking of, the PlayStation 4 does seem to be available for pre-ordering at Best Buy, a console that is seemingly more popular at the moment. It’s possible that both companies are posturing their availability to skew public reception of just how well each company is doing on their pre-order totals, but that would be rather unlikely. Hopefully answers will come out shortly.

Have any of you GameSiders pre-ordered either an Xbox One or a PlayStation 4? Were you planning on getting one later this year? Or did you plan on waiting until some more games comes out for the console? Let us know below!
