First Gameplay Footage For Grand Theft Auto V Released
As promised yesterday, Rockstar Games has released their first gameplay video from Grand Theft Auto V, and it looks fantastic.
Only a tad under five minutes long, this gameplay trailer showcases the wonders that make Grand Theft Auto a successful franchise. They show off the new character switching system that allows you to see what’s going on in the lives on Michael, Franklin and Trevor during their off time. A mission is highlighted involving the three characters trying to extract an unknown executive from an office building from a helicopter, allowing you to take over each character in the process. Another has you planning out a robbery in a multitude of ways, with all of the materials and planning done by the player.
But what is truly fascinating is the amount of detail into the extras of the game. Grand Theft Auto V now allows you to hunt (or be hunted by) animals, play new sports like tennis, go diving into the city’s waters, base jumping, parachuting and much more. It’ll be interesting to see the balance between missions and leisure the game will provide.
You can check out the trailer for yourself down below. Grand Theft Auto V will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 17.
