Limbo To Be Released On iOS
It’s dark, depressing, and downright miserable. However, players just can’t seem to get enough of the side-scrolling game ‘Limbo’.
And now, players will be able to play the classic game by developer Playdead — fitting, we know — anywhere, and anytime, they want. The monochromatic platformer title will be coming to iOS on July 3 and will cost consumers $4.99.
It will be compatible with all iOS devices including and above the iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and the most recent iPod Touch.
Limbo was originally released in July of 2010 exclusively on the Xbox Live Arcade. Due to popular demand, Playdead created ports for the game to allow it on the PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, Mac OSx, OnLive, and the PlayStation Vita.
The game reached 1 million sales in November 2011, and has won multiple awards for its uniqueness and style of gameplay, including “Game of the Year” at the Game Developers Choice Awards and “Best Indie Game” at the 2010 Video Game Awards.
