To go along with the release of an “Indie Game” section on the PlayStation 3, Sony has added an indie section to the PlayStation Network on its Vita handheld console.

The addition of an “Indie Game” category was done to accommodate the 50-plus indie titles that are currently in development for release on the Vita.

The first game to be added to the new category on PSN is ‘Hotline Miami‘ which was originally released on PC in October 2012. It will be available on the Vita as well as the PS3. Other games included in the section are ‘Guacamelee!’, ‘Limbo’, ‘Sound Shapes’, ‘Machinarium’, and ‘Thomas Was Alone’.

Other games like ‘Terraria’, ‘Counterspy’, and ‘Flower’, among others, will be available soon, Sony affirmed.
