Gran Turismo 6 Pre-Order Offers Detailed

It’s being called the “most extensive and robust pre-order offer” in the history of the Gran Turismo series, and Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) finally let consumers in on what exactly they plan on giving their loyal customers who pre-order ‘Gran Turismo 6’ from one of the best racing series ever.

SCEA announced that all pre-orders will add four new drive-able cars to the game:  BMW Z4 GT3 ’11, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 ’13, Tesla Model S Signature Performance ’13 and Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C7) ’14.

At GameStop, purchasers will get upgraded to the GameStop exclusive “15th Anniversary Edition” of the game for no additional cost. The anniversary edition gives players 20 new cars which included the four aforementioned models as well as the following:

  • Alpine A110 1600S 1968
  • Aston Martin V12 Vantage 2010
  • Audi R8 LMS ultra 2012
  • Ford Focus ST 2013
  • Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 2013

  • Lexus IS F Racing Concept 2008
  • Lotus Europa (type54) 1968

  • Renault Sport Megane Trophy V6 2011
  • SRT Viper GTS 2013
  • TRD 86 Racing 2008
  • Volkswagen Scirocco GT24 Race Car 2008

The anniversary edition of the game will also come with customized paint chips, a race suit, helmet, PSN avatar, and a blu-ray exclusive video. All of that is exclusive to the retailer.

Amazon also will have its own exclusive pre-order package for GT6. In addition to the first four pack of cars, purchasers of the game from the online retailer will receive $1-million in in-game credit to use.

‘Gran Turismo 6’ is expected to be released this holiday season for the PlayStation 3.
