Our MLB 2015 Playoffs Simulation From MLB 15: The Show

Today is the day baseball fans have been waiting for all spring and summer: the MLB 2015 Playoffs are here! That’s right, 10 of baseball’s best teams will go head-to-head in a series of sequentially more difficult matchups, leading to just one team raising the Commissioner’s Trophy above their heads in celebration. Praise be the month of October, and let’s play ball!

How We Ran The MLB 2015 Playoffs Simulation

Using as complete and accurate a roster as possible, I simulated the result of each and every game, while recording the stats and breakdowns of each series. The screenshots you see are me using Manager Mode to make sure pitching matchups are as accurate as possible. You’ll see Joe Maddon batting their pitcher 8th, Arrieta starts against Cole, etc. It’s impossible to use 100% playoff logic, as the system runs based on algorithms, but it’s as best as it will get.
