I don’t want to live in a world where people stop trying to make good Adventure Time video games. Fortunately, Little Orbit and Cartoon Network are trying to do that, enlisting the development studio WayForward to create Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom, which will release on PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS and PC (via Steam) this November.

Expect to see a top-down action adventure “reminiscent of early high fantasy console games” with players getting to control both Finn and Jake as they venture into a previously unexplored locale created exclusively for the game. WayForward, which worked on two previous Adventure Time titles, is also working to add strong puzzle-solving elements to the mix.

“WayForward is the perfect studio to bring the third all-new Adventure Time video game to fans of the animated series,” Little Orbit CEO Matt Scott said in a press release.  “Just like the Adventure Time television series, these video games have resonated strongly across all age groups and we’re thrilled to be publishing the latest installment of this beloved franchise.”

Fans will be able to track the progress of The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom by following Little Orbit on Twitter or visiting the publisher’s Facebook page.
