Nintendo Reveals Pokemon Omega Red & Alpha Sapphire
It seems like Nintendo wants to steer the conversation away from their disappointing financial report with some exciting Pokemon news. Mission: accomplished, as Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are set to hit the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS this coming November. They will likely serve as updated versions of Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, just as Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green were upgrades to Pokemon Red and Green.
Having two sets of Pokemon games released for the Nintendo 3DS in back-to-back years will definitely serve as a means of getting the handheld’s overall software titles sold number up. Pokemon X & Y sold 12.26 million units over the past fiscal year, with Nintendo banking on a similar success this year in the reimaginings of the Pokemon adventures in Hoenn.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are slated for a November release later this year. Check out the announcement video below.
