The developers behind Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist are already working on their next big projects. According to a Toronto Star interview with Ubisoft Toronto managing director Jade Raymond, the company is developing five upcoming titles at the studio, two of which are being co-developed with other Ubisoft subsidiaries.

“None of them have been announced,” Ms. Raymond explains, although she does wish to pursue increasing Ubisoft’s library of smartphone and tablet games in addition to the continued effort of putting out AAA games. “A good game on those devices is different from a good game on consoles, so I definitely believe they deserve their own franchises.”

Ubisoft Toronto is a young company situated in a growing, youthful community near the Junction. They only have one full title they can call their own under their belt, which was the most recent entry in a long series of stealth games starring Sam Fisher. The hope is that at least one of the five titles is a new IP, one that could make the city proud. If it can happen for Montreal, Vancouver and Edmonton (among others), it can happen in the 4th most populous city in North America.
