New Neverwinter Trailer Highlights PvP Changes

Neverwinter is about to get some PvP improvements.

So say the developers themselves in a new trailer released this week. Amping up the PvP experience is the primary focus of the game’s next update, and the changes will affect play in a number of ways.

Most notable among them is the addition of a new stat called Tenacity, intended to help players guard against burst damage and crits. Tenacity will be added to all PvP gear and will help better distinguish those weapons and armor sets from those better suited for PvE play.

Other tweaks include:

  • Matchmaking improvements that take class and gear score into account in order to create more balanced teams
  • Penalties for players who leave matches early
  • Balance adjustments to crowd control abilities

There’s also a brand new tier of PvP gear that certainly looks awesome. You can see one set in the image above and more at the Neverwinter update page devoted to the PvP changes, which are live now on the test server and will be rolled out to the regular servers soon.

As for that trailer I mentioned, we’ve got that here for you too:

Neverwinter is free-to-play and can be downloaded through the client at Arc Games.
