UPDATE: Call of Duty: Ghosts Servers Attacked

UPDATE: As of 12:15, the PS4 servers seem to be back in working order after being down for the better part of an hour. It looks like this attack was just a minor one with no significant harm done seeing as it was done late on a Sunday night. We’ll see what comes out of this during the week, if anything.

ORIGINAL: The cyber group that goes by the name of DERP has struck yet again in what appears to be its biggest server take down yet.

Late Sunday evening the group sent out a tweet claiming that the Call of Duty: Ghosts servers were offline. At the time of that tweet, Gamesided was still able to gain access to the game’s servers on Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PC. However, things have since changed.

Over the last hour or so, not only has Gamesided not been able to access the Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer servers on PC, but Activision is now being flooded with reports of the same thing. It’s been hit or miss with access on the PS4 servers.

The group has been responsible for multiple cyber attacks that resulted in the taking down of game servers. Just last week they took down the League of Legends servers, and in December they were responsible for the attack of nearly a dozen different games.

Gamesided will keep you updated as the story develops. For now, let us know if you are having any issues trying to play Call of Duty: Ghosts in the comment section below.
