Sega: Multiplatform Sonic Listing Incorrect

One day after a photo was released from a German Toy Fair that seemed to reveal that a multiplatform Sonic: The Hedgehog game was coming to next-gen consoles in 2015, Sega has extinguished that fire with a quick denial. In a message posted on the Sega forums, Community Manager Kellie Parker stated that the information in the photo was false.

“The recent information coming out of Nuremburg Toy Fair was incorrect,” Parker said. “Sega has yet to announce details of upcoming console video games for Sonic the Hedgehog, or further details regarding the new Sonic CG TV series.”

There have long-been rumors that a next-gen Sonic title could be coming in the next couple of years, but Sega has yet to announce any plans for a future Sonic game.
