Confirmed 2014 3DS Software Lineup

During Nintendo’s investor briefing on Wednesday night, the company revealed the list of all confirmed first and third party games set to release in 2014 for the 3DS, and 2DS,handheld console. The list, which you can find below, includes titles that have already released, like Bravely Default, as well as though simply rumored for a 2014 release — Super Smash Bros..

First party

  • Bravely Default – Feb. 7
  • Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy – Feb. 28
  • Yoshi’s New Island – March 24
  • Disnley Magical World – April 11
  • Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS – 2014
  • Kirby: Triple Deluxe – 2014
  • Mario Gold: World Tour – 2014

Third party

  • Cut the Rope: Triple Treat
  • The Amazing Spider-Man 2
  • Conception II: Children of the Seven Star
  • Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return
  • Siesta Fiesta
  • ONCE PIECE: Romance Dawn
  • 1001 Spikes
  • Moon Chronicles
  • Retro City Rampage
  • The Lego Movie Videogame
  • Lego The Hobbit

Mike’s Musings: The overall size of the third-party offerings for the 3DS is smaller than one would hope to see, but with the way games have been releasing on the device lately, you can expect that a large chunk of the titles will be more than solid games. Of course, this list doesn’t necessarily mean that more games won’t be announced for this year at a later date as the games above are only those that are guaranteed for release in 2014.
