Tomb Raider Making Its Way To PS4, Xbox One January 28, 2014

Some keen eyes over at Game Informer have spotted an advertisement banner over at the VGX website suggesting the release of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition coming to the PS4 and Xbox One on January 28, 2014.

According to earlier reports that noticed an advertisement for the game’s definitive edition go up on Amazon Italy, this version of Tomb Raider will include all of the DLC, as well as an exclusive artbook.

Seeing how the PS4 and Xbox One have similar x86 architecture, the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition may be a port from the PC version of the game. Seeing how Tomb Raider has sold more than 4 million copies to date and is still deemed a commercial failure in the eyes of Square Enix, I wouldn’t be surprised if these 8th generation copies on the PS4 and Xbox One weren’t developed from the ground up.

The ad has since been removed from the website, solidifying even further the possibility of an official announcement at tonight’s VGX show. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition looks to be released on the PS4 and Xbox One on January 28, 2014.
