For those who haven’t been on their PlayStation 3s in the last 24 hours, a new PS3 firmware update has been made available by Sony that will improve system stability. The 4.53 update is optional, and your system won’t be negatively affected should you choose not to download it. In fact, the update is mainly internal, and won’t change your experience with, or without, it.
The next major firmware update for the PS3 is expected to come in the form of a 4.60 update sometime early next year. But by then, everyone will be solely gaming on their PS4s, right? Right?
