When Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 was going to support remote play for any developer that chose to utilize it, many fans of the Diablo franchise salivated at the thought of playing the popular slasher on the go.

Unfortunately, it looked like that wasn’t going to be the case aftersenior level designer Matthew Berger originally told Gamespot that the game wouldn’t support remote play due to the PS Vita screen being too small. But my how things change in just a short period.

A mere three days after making that statement at Blizzcon to Gamespot, Berger was asked again by the website whether or not Diablo would support remote play on the Vita. This time, he had a much different answer to the question.

“As long as PS4 supports Remote Play, Reaper of Souls will support it,” Berger told them during an event in New York City.

Diablo 3 and the Reaper of Souls expansion will be released as part of the Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition on the PS4 sometime in 2014.
