The NFL regular season kicks off tonight when the Denver Broncos host the Baltimore Ravens on NBC. Although real-life football is officially back, there is another form of the game we love that has returned: virtual football in the Madden NFL world.

Players have had their hands on the game for a little over a week now, and hundreds of thousands of games have been played. But we all know that Madden NFL isn’t for playing the games yourself, it’s for predicting the outcomes of the real-life contests.

We’ve already done our week one sims for the rest of the league, but now it’s time for the Gamesided featured sim of the week. Chosen by you, the Gamesided community, this week’s featured game is Sunday’s matchup between the Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers.

It’s the second straight season that Green Bay and San Francisco have faced each other in the first week of the season, and fans are sure to expect a highly entertaining and competitive game on Sunday.
