Batman: Arkham Origins will have a multiplayer mode, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is looking for willing gamers to help test it out, as reported by IGN.

Like Willy Wonka’s golden tickets, emails are being sent out for the open beta (to take place between August 7-14) of the recently announced multiplayer mode, which will be called “Invisible Predator Online”.

Additionally, the multiplayer mode will only be available on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Warner Bros. Interactive has opted to pass on including the mode in the Wii U and PC versions of the game.

Invisible Predator Online, which was developed by Splash Damage (an independently owned British game developer), will consist of a free-for-all between two teams of 3, and a team of 2. The two teams of 3 will consist of gang members, either working for The Joker or Bane. The duo, will be none other than Batman and Robin.

Known exclusively for its dynamic and immersive single player story mode, this will mark the Arkham series’ first attempt at multiplayer element. The multiplayer mode has been confirmed to not have any relationship with the game’s main story, which takes place approximately five years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Batman: Arkham Origins will get a worldwide release on October 25, 2013.
