If you wish video games still came in cool boxes so you could decorate your dwelling with tat, oh boy, you can’t get much cooler than a tin coffin. 2K today revealed a ‘Phenom Edition’ of “WWE 2K14″ dedicated to that fairweather goth, The Undertaker. Packed into a metal coffin along with the game are a signed card, an exclusive skin of his ‘American Badass’ days, and more dark doodads.
The $100 Phenom Edition also packs a sticker to skin your controller all Undertaker-y, the American Badass entrance, and a DVD or Blu-Ray of The Streak, which has every match from his WrestleMania winning streak and a documentary. Plus you get the playable Ultimate Warrior character on offer as a pre-order bonus.
Legendary music producer Just Blaze, who’s worked with all-star talent such as Kanye West, Jay Z and Eminem, will now be jumping into the world of video games.
For the upcoming release of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows,” Just Blaze was hired to produce the musical score. In a behind the scenes trailer, the creator of the hip-hop classics “Dear Summer” and “Roc The Mic” explains the process of crafting a new sound for a storied franchise.
“It’s ironic to come full-circle and now be working on a project that embodies a major part of my childhood and my childhood memories,” said Just Blaze.
Liverpool and Barcelona have signed three-year deals with EA to make FIFA their ‘official video game partner’.
The deal means the entire Liverpool and Barcelona squads will be fully 3D scanned into the game, resulting in “stunning accurate visuals” of each player, according to the publisher.
EA will also participate in various promotions with each club, including FIFA booths for fans attending games on match days and tournaments involving the real-life players.
Liverpool fans will also be able to download and print out a special “FIFA 14″ cover featuring three Liverpool players instead of this year’s regular cover stars, Lionel Messi and Gareth Bale.
