It’s been speculated for quite some time, but the Call of Duty: Ghosts Facebook page (as well as Twitter) has confirmed that the Wii U will be receiving its own version of the title, to launch with the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 5th. It will be the first next-gen Call of Duty title to be released by Infinity Ward, the game devs responsible for the modern and futuristic story iterations of the Call of Duty series. That is, unless the PS4 or Xbox One is released before that time.

It will be interesting to see how the Call of Duty: Ghosts will play on the Wii U console. The GamePad will seem to act as a second screen, which could be quite useful depending on how they plan to use it. Perhaps, after gaining a sizable killstreak, you can call in and guide an airstrike using the second screen. It would also be pretty nifty if you could customize your character’s outfits or weapons using the GamePad to draw designs, allowing you to input them into the game. There’s tons of possibilities that a second screen provides.

We’ll keep you informed in future developments of Call of Duty: Ghosts and its Wii U functions as they become available.
