Steam Summer Sale 2013 Open For Business

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for PC gamers, as Steam has officially launched their annual Summer Sale.

As with previous installations of their popular week and a half of discounted games, they will offer daily deals on big name games, flash sales every 8 hours and community-voted sales. This means that 3 times a day three titles with varying discounts will be voted on by the Steam community, with the most popular choice getting adding into the Summer Sale fray.

It’s not just new and expensive games that Steam has put on sale. Classics like Half-Life 1 and 2, Bloodrayne, Psychonauts, Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 and more are all on sale at less than $5 each. It’s a great opportunity to purchase or re-purchase games that you’ve lost or given away over the years. Of course, they also feature sales on current-gen games like Bioshock: Infinite, Scribblenauts Unlimited and more.

Traffic is high over at Valve, resulting in unstable connections and constant refreshing to the Steam Store. However, the Steam Summer Sale lasts from July 11 – 22, meaning that there will be more than enough time to catch up on any gaming purchases you need.

So, GameSiders, will you be picking up anything from Steam this summer? If so, what do you plan on getting? Let us know in the comments below.
