Marvel Heroes Get Power Boosts In Latest Patch

One of the big drawbacks to “Marvel Heroes” is that often, you simply don’t feel heroic enough. Controlling iconic Marvel characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man and Wolverine should give players confidence that they can handle all of the various threats the game throws at them, and Gazillion is working hard to get things to that point with the game’s latest patch.

The changes in powers are too numerous to list, but suffice it to say that they impact almost every hero in the game. In their official patch notes, the developers explain that they would rather buff weaker powers than nerf weaker ones, and that their overall aim is to ensure there is more than one viable build for every character.

Other elements of the game also got some much needed attention, but the one that stands out is the endgame content. The notes cite a “significant boost” to enemy experience in all of the terminal challenges, along with a promise to keep tweaking things until all of the missions are worthwhile. Also of note is the removal of Cosmic Keys as a requirement to enter some zones, though the patch notes say the Keys will still be useful going forward.

There’s plenty more, including changes to make bosses more visible – something sorely needed when said bosses are being swarmed by two dozen players – changes to pets and artifacts, and bug fixes of all kinds. Along with the sale on many heroes and costumes that runs through July 8, it’s enough to make even slightly disappointed gamers (and I count myself among them) give “Marvel Heroes” another chance.
