Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 1, winner of multiple “Game of the Year” awards, will be receiving a $4.99 USD DLC addition called “The Walking Dead: 400 Days” as early as July 2 on the PSN, according to IGN.

Specific release dates:

  • Tuesday, July 2nd – PlayStation Network (North America)
  • Wednesday, July 3rd – PC/Mac (Steam, Telltale Games Store)
  • Friday, July 5th – Xbox Live (Worldwide)
  • Wednesday, July 10th – PlayStation Network (Europe)
  • Thursday, July 11th – iOS (Worldwide)

The DLC will take place in some of the locations touched on in the first season of The Walking Dead, but will not follow the story of either Lee nor Clementine. Instead, they will show five different short stories that take place within the first 400 days of the zombie apocalypse.

Better yet, the choices made in Season 1 of The Walking Dead will affect the results and events of The Walking Dead: 400 Days, and in turn will resonate in Season 2 of The Walking Dead when that game is released.

Because the game content is part of a DLC for Season 1, The Walking Dead: 400 Days requires at least Season 1, Episode 1’s purchase for you to be able to download the content. It is not a standalone game, meaning that if you own the Steam version and want to play the game sooner on PSN, you will either have to wait or make the purchases required.

We will have a review for The Walking Dead: 400 Days later this week here at GameSided, so look out for that soon!
