If for whatever reason the tweet is taken down, the message simply says, “It begins… @oculus #VR.” @Oculus, being the official Twitter account for the Oculus Rift, is a steadfast indication that he is looking to get involved with the most prominent field of virtual reality that’s currently on the market. Whether he’s working on a game for the platform, joining the company or otherwise, is currently up in the air. Casey Hudson has gone silent on his social media account since.

He’s just the latest in a long string of people leaving their jobs to work in the field of Oculus Rift virtual reality creation. When you have billions of dollars invested in the project by the biggest social media site in the world, everyone wants to get in on a piece of the action. It’s like how everyone wants to get in on the newest Star Wars film; people want to jump towards the hottest trends in the industry. Virtual reality definitely seems to be the hot-button trend of the moment, with so little competition or finished development for the platform.

It will be interesting to see how many more creative leaders will get involved with Oculus Rift the closer we get to a consumer product launch.
