Resident Evil HD Remaster Receives Trophies, Achievements

As with the case in most HD remasters, the HD remaster of Resident Evil will feature trophies and achievements added that weren’t designed around at the time of the original development. Capcom’s US Community Manager, Brett Elston, posted the list on his Capcom blog, detailing what is going to be rewarded for what accomplishments, and at what level.

As someone who has played many of the classic static-camera Resident Evil games in the past, it’s great to see that there are achievements that reward the fast-paced survival horror style that the series was once renowned for. Trophies and achievements for beating the game without saving, rushing through in three hours or less and even beating the game only using the knife are the kind of self-imposed challenges that users have been using for these games since the GameFAQ’s walkthrough guide days. Now that they are required to be accomplished in order to get a Platinum trophy, it helps to build upon the game’s replay value that a two-character system already provides.
