Quantum Break: First Extended Gameplay Look At gamescom 2014

facebooktwitterreddit

There’s been a great deal of intrigue surrounding the gameplay of Quantum Break, so the developers at Remedy thought it was the best time to break it out via trailer form during their Xbox Media Briefing at gamescom 2014.

More from Microsoft

In the video, we get to see protagonist Jack Joyce utilize a ton of time-related special abilities. While usually detailed with minimal weapons (spends most his time in this occasion using his pistol), it’s the ability to slow time while he can run in quick bursts, stop time in order to shoot enemies with power-enforced bullets and manipulate time in order to get up and close with knockouts.

While it’s great to see Quantum Break gameplay, the way that Microsoft has approached Halo TV and other multimedia content I’m surprised we haven’t seen a single thing about the Quantum Break tv show in development. We know that what happens in the game can impact the show, but we still have no way of knowing just exactly that will be conveyed. With a 2015 release window, I’m expecting that the game will come out around the time the show begins, so hopefully around Fall of 2015, if not earlier.
