Madden 15 Coming With Xbox One Bundle

Remember when the Xbox One was first revealed, and everything about the conference was screaming “TV! Sports! Games! TV! Sports! TV”? While it seems like the “TV!” aspect has quieted down a great deal, that doesn’t mean that Microsoft isn’t pushing hard to be the #1 console when it comes to football fans. The Xbox Wire revealed today that on August 26th, a Madden 15 game code will become part of a new $399 Xbox One bundle. You can pre-order it at the Microsoft Store right now.

Included in the Madden 15 Xbox One bundle:

  • Madden NFL 15 Xbox One download code
  • Xbox One console unit (w/o Kinect)
  • Single Xbox One wireless controller
  • Xbox One chat headset
  • Madden NFL 15 box  packaging
  • Free token for three Madden NFL Ultimate Team Pro Packs (microtransactions)

Who knows, this Madden 15 Xbox One bundle could be the start of something wonderous at the Microsoft and EA unofficial partnership. As a Canadian, I’m sure many of my local brethren would love to pick up NHL 15 through a similar bundle, just like how European Xbox One gamers likely could have picked up FIFA 14 as part of the initial Xbox One pre-order bundle leading up to launch. Alas, Sony knows that the interest just isn’t there to make an MLB: The Show bundle for the PS4, even though that series is great, as well.

Either way, if you’ve been waiting to pick up the Xbox One and haven’t found a great value for it yet here in North America, if you’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Madden 15, maybe now is the time to go for it. Madden 15 will also be released on PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 26th.
