Homefront IP Acquired From Crytek By Deep Silver, Will Continue Development At New Studio

It seems even with assurances that Crytek’s recent financial issues were merely the result of a transitional phase, Publisher Deep Silver has lost confidence in the studio’s ability to finish development on the new Homefront: Revolution, as it has been moved to a brand new studio.

More from News

Development of Homefront: The Revolution will continue at Deep Silver Dambuster Studio, a Nottingham-based studio created by Deep Silver. No word as of yet on whether any Crytek UK staff would be transferring over to that new studio to assist in the development of Homefront: The Revolution.

“We strongly believe in the potential of Homefront: The Revolution and trust in the new team to continue the path they have been walking in the last years,” said Deep Silver CEO Dr. Klemens Kundratitz.

Where this leaves Crytek UK isn’t completely clear, but as Homefront: The Revolution was the only known title they were working on, if they don’t have anything else currently in the works, their newly acquired capital may just be staving off the inevitable studio closure.
