Comic-Con 2014: The Walking Dead Season 3 Confirmed By Telltale Games

Even though Telltale Games will be releasing at least one episode each of Tales From The Borderlands and Game of Thrones later this year, that doesn’t mean that the graphic adventure game company will be completely abandoning the franchise that has brought them mass acclaim and attention. The president of Telltale Games has confirmed today at a Comic-Con 2014 panel plans to create The Walking Dead Season 3, and was summarily tweeted by the company’s Twitter account.

Hopefully, that doesn’t end up being a spoiler for what happens in The Walking Dead Season 2, which is currently up to its 4th episode. There was no confirmation of what characters would be involved with a third season, just that comic book creator Robert Kirkman was on hand to help okay its third season.

My wish for the independent development company at Telltale Games is to either wait it out until the first (?) season of their newest graphic adventure series are over before releasing The Walking Dead Season 3. It may be confirmation bias, but the last few episodes for both The Walking Dead Season 2 and The Wolf Among Us were a fair bit shorter than previous entries. $5/episode or ~$3/episode with a discounted season pass is still an okay amount for 75 minutes of content, however it is apparent that all hands are on deck to help kick off these new series’ from the ground up, with new episodes a lot lighter in terms of overall content.

We’ll be on the lookout for more The Walking Dead Season 3 information in the coming months, as it becomes available.
